Matthew Snow
Matthew brings several years of experience spanning state environmental regulation, local government planning, and regional energy policy. Prior to joining CEP, Matthew served as a Program Specialist at the Virginia Department of Environmental Quality, where he administered the state’s Small Renewable Energy Permit-by-Rule program, managed regulatory updates, and oversaw GIS resources for the Renewable Energy Division, including the development of the Virginia Renewable Energy Development Atlas.
Matthew began his solar career through planning and energy policy fellowshipsat PlanRVA and Dinwiddie County, conducting land use analysis and solar siting research to support utility-scale solar planning. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Urban and Regional Studies and a Master of Science in Urban and Regional Planning from Virginia Commonwealth University, along with a Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in GIS.
